THE POWER OF GRATITUDE
Gratitude begins with the simple acknowledgment that all we have and all we are, come as gifts from God. As our Creator and Sustainer, God showers us with blessings. We experience the power of gratitude when we humbly go to God with thanksgiving and return a portion of those blessings to God by loving, giving and/or serving.

LOVING:
Annual giving represents an act of worship and an expression of love in which we thank God for our blessings and generously return those gifts to God. We can demonstrate our love for God and neighbors through gifts that the Lord then uses to transform lives.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and  with all your soul
and with all your strength and with all your mind;
and love your neighbor as yourself.”
~Luke 10:27

GIVING:
For Christians, stewardship is a way of life that recognizes we are managing the resources of God’s gifts. Through generosity, we are the heart, spirit and hands of God, reaching out in love to share with the world. As members or active participants at The Well, each person gives in proportion to their income. No one tells you how much you should give to support the ministry of the church. The Bible teaches to give a tithe or ten percent to God. Give as you feel comfortable and experience the joy of generosity.

“All tithes from the land, whether the seed from the ground
or the fruit from the tree, are the Lord’s;
they are holy to the Lord.”
~Leviticus 27:30

SERVING:
Tithes and offerings support the church’s ministry and mission. When resources are committed to God, they are used to change lives, transform communities and renew the church. Worship, adult small groups, pastoral care, mission trips, community outreach and children and youth ministries are all supported by annual giving. The commitment cards help in budgeting and planning for the expansion of ministries in 2018.

“As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God.
For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that
you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.”
~2 Corinthians 9:13

HOW CAN I GIVE?
Annually – Each year, every member and regular attendee of The Well is asked to return a commitment card, pledging their tithes and offerings for the coming year.
